a note from me
Hi — I’m so glad you’re here. I’ve been teaching music for over fifteen years, mostly out here in the rolling hills of the Southern Tier of New York. My students have included a six-year-old who could barely hold the bow and a ninety-two-year-old who finally got around to the violin lessons she’d wanted since she was twelve.
Every one of them taught me something. That’s the thing about this work — the music keeps moving in both directions.

A small farm in Canaseraga, NY — and a laptop that reaches everywhere else.
I live and teach in the village of Canaseraga, tucked between Hornell, Dansville, and Alfred. For local families I’ll come to your kitchen table, or you can come to my studio. For everyone else, Zoom works beautifully — we’ll get your audio dialed in the first week.
