live music for the moments that matter —
Hire a musician for your event.
Available for weddings, church services, memorials, and private gatherings across the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes of New York — solo violin, viola, or a small string ensemble drawn from my trusted local network.
where i play
The kinds of days I love to be part of.
Weddings
Processionals, ceremonies, cocktail hours, and quiet dinners. Classical, sacred, folk, or modern arrangements — whatever fits the feel of your day.
Church & sacred services
Christmas Eve, Easter, baptisms, special services, and hymn accompaniment. I’ve been the first violinist for the Orpheus Chorale Christmas Cantata since 2010, so this work is deeply familiar.
Memorial & funeral services
Held with care. Whether it’s a hymn the family loved, a favorite folk tune, or something simple and instrumental, I’ll show up early and quietly do my part.
Private gatherings & house concerts
Anniversaries, birthdays, retirement parties, intimate dinners, and the occasional barn evening. Pick a mood and I’ll build a set around it.
Community & seasonal events
Christmas concerts, town festivals, gallery openings, fundraisers, school programs — the kinds of small-town gatherings live strings turn into something memorable.
how many players
Solo, duo, or a small ensemble.
Solo violin or viola
Lyrical, intimate, and the easiest fit for ceremonies, services, and dinners. The most flexible setup — can play anywhere a single chair fits.
Violin & viola duo
Two voices for fuller harmony without the footprint of a quartet. A favorite for cocktail hours and processions where you want the music to fill the room without overwhelming it.
String trio or quartet
Assembled with trusted local musicians I’ve performed alongside for years. For larger ceremonies, big receptions, or any moment that calls for a fuller string sound.
a little reassurance
Fifteen years of playing the moment exactly right.
I perform regularly with the Genesee Symphony, Southern Tier Symphony, and Houghton University Symphony, and I’ve spent fifteen years in pit orchestras across Western and Central NY — thirteen musicals and counting. I know how to show up early, dress for the occasion, blend in with whatever else is happening, and play the moment exactly the way you imagined it.
If you’d like to see the full list of orchestras and shows, the performances page has every credit.
